Mr. Caraway is responsible for strategic planning and supervising the acquisition, financing, construction and development of multifamily apartment communities for the Internacional Realty Group of Companies. Prior to forming Internacional Realty in 1993, Mr. Caraway spent ten years as a Senior Partner with Property Company of America, a nationwide real estate development and management firm. Prior to that, he spent five years as a partner with Lincoln Property Company. He has been involved in the development, acquisition, and management of over 27,000 apartment units. Before entering the real estate business, he was a Certified Public Accountant in public accounting with Arthur Andersen
Mrs. Caraway is responsible for supervising all property management functions, as well as corporate office accounting and administrative functions. Prior to forming Internacional Realty in 1993, Mrs. Caraway spent ten years with Property Company of America where she rose from a District Property Manager to Director of Property Management responsible for multifamily units in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Chicago, Detroit and Las Vegas. Prior to that, she was with Lincoln Property Company for four years. Mrs. Caraway started her career in property management in 1975 as a leasing agent. She has held positions in all levels of property management, affording her a unique understanding of a successful management operation from the ground up. She obtained a degree from San Antonio College and has also taken additional coursework at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Mrs. Caraway is bilingual in Spanish, has accredited Resident Manager Designation and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in six states.
L. Miguel Arce
As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Arce is responsible for the strategic position of the Internacional organization and all of its affiliated businesses. His scope includes new business development, sourcing of acquisition and development opportunities, and he is extensively involved in the asset and property managementfunction of the company. He is responsible for establishing strategic joint venture partnerships with institutional and private capital firms. In his career he has been involved in more than 30,000 apartment units.
Mr. Arce began at Internacional as a Financial Analyst in 1998. In the early 2000’s the organization experienced significant growth through acquisitions. In 2003 he was promoted to lead operations and acquisitions for the Dallas-Fort Worth region as the organization decentralized to sustain its growth projections. He relocated to Dallas Fort Worth. In 2006 Mr. Arce returned to the San Antonio headquarters to head up all acquisitions for the organization. In 2010 he was named Co-Chief Operations Officer to assist with new business development for operations as well as the sourcing of acquisition opportunities. In 2014 Mr. Arce earned his position as acting Chief Executive Officer for Internacional. Prior to joining Internacional in 1998, he was with Marriott International as the City Sales Manager of the San Antonio. During his time at Marriott he was honored with the Marriott Corporate Special Achievement award and the Golden Circle Award.
Mr. Arce graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1996 with a degree in Business Administration. He is also a member of National Multifamily Council. Mr. Arce is the proud husband and father to a family of six.
Mr. Kiehne serves as Chief Financial Officer of the company and oversees the accounting department and plays an integral role in the sourcing and capitalization of acquisition opportunities, asset management and investor relations.
Prior to joining Internacional Realty in August 2014, he spent nine years with the Lynd, a multi-disciplined real estate company. Mr. Kiehne held various positions during his tenure there, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer, and was involved in the acquisition, capitalization, structuring, asset management, accounting and disposition of 100+ plus properties, including multifamily, hotel and office types.
Prior to Lynd, he held various senior finance and accounting positions at both a Big 4 accounting firm and other public companies.
Mr. Kiehne is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas and received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
Sarah began her multi-family property management career in 1994 as a leasing consultant for Insignia Management in the Dallas - Fort Worth metro. She joined Internacional Realty in 1998 as an assistant manager at a community in Wichita Falls, Texas. Sarah eventually became a regional property supervisor after several promotions through the years. Her primary region was Dallas - Fort Worth as well as other Texas metro's. In 2007 Sarah joined Pacific West and Chandler Management as a regional supervisor then returned home to Internacional Realty late 2009. Sarah is now the President of Operations and heavily involved in all affairs of the Internacional Realty Group of Companies. Sarah has hands on management experience with many different asset classes including new construction, value-add and rehabilitations, student housing, tax credit and conventional communities.
Pamela Plyler is the Accounting Controller with Internacional Realty. She manages the overall responsibility for the company’s accounting department. Pamela has been with Internacional Realty since 2009. She began as a Property Accountant before being promoted to her current position. Previously, Pamela worked in several sectors of the banking industry including sales, administration and accounting.
Pamela is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Antonio and a Master in Business Administration from Texas A&M University.
Summer joined Internacional in 2010 as the Human Resources Manager bringing with her over ten years of Human Resource experience from the multi-family, retail and industries. Her areas of expertise include benefits analysis and administration, compensation, staff training and development, workers compensation, safety training, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and HRIS.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas State University in Applied Sociology and Business and is a certified Professional of Human Resources by the Human Resource Certification Institute.
Ms. Washington joined Internacional Realty in 2000 as a leasing consultant. She worked as an assistant manager, property manager and senior property manager before being promoted to her current position of Regional Property Supervisor in 2006. Ms. Washington's multifamily management experience is very diverse. She has supervised student housing, conventional communities, multi-phase properties, and "lease ups" (newly-constructed communities taking on first occupancy). She is well-versed in federal accessibility laws, local government accessibility initiatives like Austin's Smart Housing program, and accomplishing the retrofits and repairs necessary to achieve compliance; she is currently continuing her education in this field. Ms. Washington's leadership skills and accomplishments have brought her recognition at all levels of our organization. Her awards include "Property of the Year", "Outstanding Performer", and the "Solid as a Rock" Award for consistently maintaining occupancy of ninety-seven percent or greater. Ms. Washington attended Concordia University at Austin.
Ms. Coker joined Internacional in early 2005 as Regional Property Supervisor for the Houston Region. She began her career in multi family real estate in 1993 with VMI as a leasing agent at a community in northwest Austin, Texas. There she was promoted to Resident Manager and eventually moved to Houston in 1998 to work for Dinerstein Management Company, where she rose to Executive Corporate Supervisor for a 2,100 unit portfolio. Felicia remained with the portfolio during the next eight years as management transitioned to RCA, Bradley Apartment Homes and Bradley Orion. She took on additional responsibilities during this time such as Corporate Trainer and New Lease-Up Coordinator. During her tenure with Internacional Felicia has supervised student properties, workforce housing, mid-rise and garden-style apartments. She handled the lease up of four new properties from pre-construction to stabilization to disposition. She is a key member of our due diligence, safety and process improvement teams. Felicia’s management style instills a sense of spirit, teamwork and pride in her close-knit group of Internacional associates. Felicia is presently a candidate for Certified Apartment Manager designation.
Amy has worked for Internacional Realty since 2001 and has been in property management for nineteen years. She has served as Assistant Regional Supervisor since 2006. Amy has experience with both acquisitions and dispositions; she has been involved in the management of more than 2,500 units and was an instrumental part of our team when we sold seven Florida properties to condo converters. She is familiar with the 1031 tenant in common investment structure and has supervised five "full cycle" TIC properties (meaning she was involved in the acquisition, management and sale of the assets). Amy has been on the board of directors of the Bay Area Apartment Association for the last four years and prior to that she was on the board of the Greater Nashville Apartment Association for four years. She attended Middle Tennessee State University, holds a Florida real estate license, and holds an ARM® designation.
