L. Miguel Arce
Chief Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer Miguel Arce began his career at Internacional in 1998, and has overseen significant growth through acquisition since then. From 2003 to 2010, Miguel experienced several promotions, from Financial Analyst, to leading operations and acquisitions for the Dallas-Fort Worth region, to eventually assisting with new business development and acquisition for the whole organization as Co-Chief Operations Officer. In 2014, Miguel earned the title of Chief Executive Officer. In his career, he has been involved in more than 30,000 apartment units.
As Chief Executive Officer, Miguel is responsible for the strategic position of Internacional and all of its affiliated businesses. He guides the organization through new business development and acquisition opportunities, as well as asset and property management. He is also responsible for establishing strategic joint venture partnerships with institutional and private capital firms. Miguel graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1996. He is also a member of NMHC. When he is not at work, Miguel enjoys spending time in his home of San Antonio with his wife and four children.
President of Operations
Sarah Dillard joined Internacional in 1998 as an assistant manager. Following many promotions early in her career with Internacional, Sarah became a Regional Property Supervisor for Dallas-Fort Worth in addition to other Texas metro areas. After a short stint at Pacific West and Chandler Management, Sarah rejoined Internacional and eventually became President of Operations. Sarah has hands-on management experience with new construction, value-add and rehabilitations, student housing, tax credit and conventional communities, and more, and she is now heavily involved in all affairs of the Internacional Realty group of companies. She has been involved extensively in the management of over 30,000 units.
As President, Sarah is responsible for the day-to-day field operations of Internacional as well as supervising the corporate office, investor relations, and human resource staffs. She is actively involved in new business development and has overall responsibility for the due diligence functions related to acquisitions, development, and dispositions of multifamily assets.
Chief Financial Officer
Chief Financial Officer Sean Kiehne oversees the accounting department and plays an integral role in the sourcing and capitalization of acquisition opportunities, asset management, and investor relations. Before joining Internacional in 2014, he worked for Lynd, a multi-disciplined real estate company. Sean held various positions at Lynd, most recently as Chief Financial Officer. He was involved in the acquisition, capitalization, structuring, asset management, accounting, and disposition of over 100 properties.
Throughout his career, Sean has held various senior finance and accounting positions, including a Big 4 accounting firm. Sean is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas, and he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in professional accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
Felicia Coker joined Internacional in 2005 as Regional Property Supervisor for the Houston Region. Her career in multifamily real estate began in 1993 as a leasing agent with VMI before moving to Houston to work for Dinerstein Management Company in 1998. There, she rose to Executive Corporate Supervisor for a 2,100-unit portfolio before transitioning to RCA. At Internacional, Felicia has supervised student properties, workforce housing, mid-rise and garden-style apartments, and handled the lease up of four new properties from pre-construction, to stabilization, to disposition.
Felicia’s management style instills a sense of spirit, teamwork, and pride among her associates. She is currently a candidate for Certified Apartment Manager designation.
Accounting Controller Pamela Plyler manages Internacional’s accounting department. She began her career with Internacional in 2009 as a Property Accountant before being promoted to her current position. Before joining Internacional, she worked in several sectors of the banking industry. Pamela is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas, and she received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a master’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M University.
Regional Property Supervisor
Regional Property Supervisor Angela Washington joined Internacional in 2000 as a leasing consultant, moving quickly through various positions such as assistant manager, property manager, and senior property manager before being promoted to her current role in 2006. Throughout the course of her career in property management, Angela has supervised student housing, conventional communities, multi-phase properties, and lease-ups. She is well versed in federal accessibility laws, local government accessibility initiatives, and accomplishing retrofits and repairs for compliance.
Angela’s leadership skills and accomplishments have brought her recognition at all levels of our organization. Her awards include Property of the Year, Outstanding Performer, and the Solid as a Rock award for consistently maintaining occupancy of 97% or greater.
Managing Director of Acquisitions
Nick Dyer leads Internacional’s acquisitions efforts. His responsibilities include deal sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, debt and equity capitalization, and closing. Nick began his career in multifamily real estate in 2011 after graduating with an MBA from the Acton School of Business. Prior to Internacional, Nick worked for the Presidium Group, a multifamily investment and development company also focused in Texas, as head of acquisitions, later becoming the company’s chief operating officer. In that role, Nick was involved in all aspects of Presidium’s investment business, including acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, and development.
Prior to his career in real estate, Nick worked in commercial construction at The Beck Group in Dallas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a degree in civil engineering. Nick lives in Austin with his wife and daughter. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and, outside of real estate, serves as a mentor with Explore Austin.
Regional Property Supervisor
Regional Property Supervisor Amy Sullivan joined Internacional in 2001 and has served as Assistant Regional Supervisor since 2006. Amy has been in property management for over 19 years with extensive experience in acquisitions and dispositions. She has been involved with the management of over 2,500 units and plays an instrumental part in many facets of our organization. She has supervised five full-cycle tenants in common properties, playing an important role in the acquisition, management, and sale of those assets.
Amy attended Middle Tennessee State University and holds a Florida real estate license and an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation. She has been on the board of directors of the Bay Area Apartment Association for the last several years.
Human Resources Manager
Human Resources Manager Summer Nuckols, BS, PHR, joined Internacional in 2010, bringing over 10 years of HR experience from the multifamily and retail industries. Her expertise encompasses benefits analysis, compensation, staff development, workers’ compensation, safety training, employee relations, performance management, HRIS, and more.
Summer received her bachelor’s degree in applied sociology and business from Texas State University, and is a certified Professional in Human Resources by the HR Certification Institute.
Regional Property Supervisor
Yvonne Rister Gonzalez joined Internacional in April 2011 as a Business Manager and has since advanced to become a Regional Property Supervisor. Yvonne has over 20 years of multifamily experience, which includes new construction, repositions, commercial, luxury, affordable, value-add, and mixed-use product with organizations such as Trammell Crow and Tarantino Management. Yvonne’s track record shows her strengths in client and employee relations, as well as leadership, marketing, and team building. She enjoys the challenge of meeting the owner’s goals, supporting her management teams, and always keeping focus on learning and development.
Pearl Hernandez joined Internacional in 2010 as a Property Accountant and was promoted to Senior Accountant in 2014. Pearl has 12 years of full-cycle accounting experience. Prior to joining Internacional, she worked for a local CPA firm, where her main duties were keeping books, processing payroll, and meeting with clients to discuss financials. She went on to work for Lynd Real Estate company, where she helped manage a portfolio of 10 properties.
As Senior Accountant, Pearl is responsible for leading and training our accounting team. She is currently involved with, but not limited to, reviewing and approving financials, onboarding of acquisitions’ financial data, and assisting with closing out disposition of assets. Pearl has an associate’s degree in accounting from San Antonio College and plans to continue her education.
Jared Pierce joined Internacional in 2017 and is responsible for managing all construction services. Prior to Internacional, Jared held a variety of positions in maintenance and construction. He started his multifamily career with The Hanover Company in 2000 as part of an on-site maintenance team and, throughout his 11-year tenure there, became responsible for all maintenance operations and construction quality control on a national level for over 30 garden and high-density projects.
Jared has also held roles with United Dominion Realty and The Allen Harrison Company, where he directed large-scale property renovations and strategic capital projects for their asset diverse portfolios. Jared brings a wealth of unique construction experience that comes with an operations perspective, centering on utilizing capital to maximize value creation for property owners.
Senior Management Analyst
Andrea Furmaga joined Internacional in 2013 with 11 years of banking experience, where she excelled at the logistics of project management and system management. The banking industry was her foundation for operational and financial analytics. At Internacional, Andrea supports the field in day-to-day operations, including technical support, vendor validation, service contract review, market evaluation, and ad hoc analysis requests.
Andrea also leads the onboarding of the property management system information and website design. She is responsible for compiling and analyzing financial and operational reports for distribution to investors and owners. Andrea also assists in due diligence functions related to acquisitions, development, and dispositions of multifamily assets. Her leadership is instrumental in the execution of successful projects.
